ISPS 2011

Models of Performance

The next International Symposium on Performance Science, ISPS 2011, is to be hosted by the University of Toronto on 24-27 August 2011.

The symposium, founded by the CPS in 2007, is a biennial meeting of artists and scientists to discuss performance and the skills which underpin it. The first symposium was convened in 2007 in Portugal at Casa da Música. The second, ISPS 2009, was held at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

The ISPS 2011 theme, Models of Performance, is intended to encourage discussion and debate on issues ranging from 'models' of good practice (e.g. research into inspirational performers, teachers, or learners) through to scientific 'models' of performance processes and products.

Further details and the call for papers for ISPS 2011 will be posted soon at www.performancescience.org.
